Domain transfer
Bring the name. Keep ownership clear.
A transfer moves registrar management—not your website content. ELMNT checks the provider price, collects the required authorization privately, and keeps the state in BOS.
- Unlock the domain at the current registrar.
- Request its EPP or transfer authorization code.
- Keep access to the registrant email for registry approval.
Transfer safeguards
Payment does not override eligibility.
If the registrar definitively rejects the transfer request, the automated flow refunds the payment. Uncertain network responses are held for review to prevent a duplicate provider action.
Provider validation
OpenSRS and the registry make the final transfer eligibility decision.
Pending state
BOS keeps the transfer pending until the provider confirms completion.
